DESIGNATION: DOSE
WAVE: 001
PRIMARY MATERIAL: GELATIN
MANIFESTATION: WOVEN PATCH (IN PROGRESS)
CONSTRUCTION: MODERATE
STATUS: CHASING BALANCE
Gelatin has no strength of its own. It holds its shape only up to a point, soft, translucent, built to contain rather than resist. Dose carries its capsules not as a collection but as a load. Each one added carefully at first, then out of habit, then out of desperation. The skull fills slowly. The weight accumulates the way it always does, gradually, then all at once.
But weight responds to movement. When the body works, with muscles pulling against resistance, breath coming hard, the load distributes differently. Not lighter exactly, but more manageable. The gelatin firms up under pressure. The spilling slows. What felt like overflow begins to feel, briefly, like capacity.
Dose isn't looking to empty itself. Just to find the point where what it's carrying stops being too much.
